<description>I’m with ya 100% with the exception of the overused cliche “OLD SCHOOL”. Real men, the originals like the DUKE, for example weren’t OLD SCHOOL…I prefer to think of them as long before OLD SCHOOL, but I guess PRE-SCHOOL sounds a little wimpy. So I&#039;d refer to them as the ORIGINAL&quot; real men.
BTW I do carry a customized for combat, cocked &amp; locked 1911A-1 (That’s a .45 for the ill-informed).With 7 in the mag and one in the pipe. Usually pack six spare magazines, (42 extra rounds). I guess most would say that’s a bit “overkill”, but better to have a full box of ammo if it ever really hits the fan. I also have a Colt S.A.A. wheel gun in .45 Colt caliber, (What people mistakenly refer to as .45 “Long Colt” caliber.
A High Standard Flight King .12 gauge 18 1/4 inch barrel shotgun is my first line of home defense, and have had occasion to use it. (“No brag…just fact” as Walter Brennan used to say in the 1960s T.V. series “The Guns of Will Sonnet”) One of the best shotguns ever manufactured with an all steel receiver, no lightweight alloy receiver like most shotguns.
Never heard of a High Standard Flight King?Watch the Getaway with Steve McQueen.
I Love the concept of this websight.
